Dolphin Mobility to showcase Handi-Move hoists at Naidex

Dolphin Lifts, in partnership with Handi-Move International, will be showcasing the unique Body Support System at this years Naidex. The body support enables users with sufficient muscle tone to self-hoist and transfer independently, potentially saving thousands of pounds in care costs.

Visitors to Naidex National, Stand D34, will also be able to try working examples of the Victor Mobile Hoist, the 3-in-1 Mobile Shower Bathing Trolley, the Wall Mounted Hoist and the Handi-Move Swimming Pool Hoist.

Christian Dunnage, director of Dolphin Lifts, said: "Having recently signed a 5 year agreement to distribute the Handi-Move range of products in the UK, we felt that Naidex was the perfect opportunity to let people see how these devices can help both self and attendant carers. Naidex is the UK's largest disability, homecare and rehabilitation event with over 300 exhibitors featuring the latest products and services to aid independent living.

Step Lifts

Short rise vertical platform lifts, also known as low rise step lifts, are often the only viable solution to provide disabled access to properties with a short run of stairs. Used in many public buildings and domestic properties, step lifts are highly configurable according to site demands, and can be built to blend in with existing surroundings if aesthetics are a priority.

These pictures show a recent domestic installation completed by Dolphin. The lift is a low rise step lift manufactured by Wessex Medical. Step Lift prices vary according to site demands and building requirements, most lifts for domestic properties tend to cost between £5000 and £7000.

Body Support System for Hoists

The Handi-Move body support system is a quick and easy alternative transfer device to conventional slings. It can be used for independent transfers and also greatly increases productivity for carers as they benefit from the increased speed of transfer in comparison to using slings.
